Mystery Over Three Suspects in 7 Monswamy Murder Case

The killing of seven Monswamy family members has left the public with pain, fear and many unanswered questions.

While arrests have been made, the full picture is still not clear, and that is why this case must be handled with extreme care from the beginning.

This is not an ordinary crime. Reports suggest that several people were kidnapped from their home and later found dead more than 100 kilometres away. That raises serious questions about transport, timing, weapons, movement, motive and the number of people involved. If seven people were moved from one area to another, investigators will have to establish how that happened, what vehicle was used, who drove it, where the victims were taken, and whether more people were involved.

The reported recovery of cellphones and a firearm may be important evidence, but those items must be carefully tested and linked to the crime. A cellphone can reveal movements, communication, location data and possible connections between suspects and victims. A firearm must be tested to determine whether it was used in the killings. Every piece of evidence must speak clearly.

The concern is that many serious cases take years to conclude because of gaps, contradictions or unanswered questions in the investigation. When evidence is not properly connected, justice can be delayed, families are forced to relive the pain, and communities remain without closure.

At this stage, the accused remain suspects until the court proves otherwise. But the public is justified in expecting a thorough investigation. Every link must be traced: the kidnapping, the route, the vehicle, the phones, the weapon, the motive and the role of each accused person.

Justice must not only result in arrests. It must result in a complete, credible and carefully proven case that helps the families and the public understand what really happened.
